Everything you need to know about how SermonSync turns one sermon into a full week of content.
Getting Started
SermonSync turns your weekly sermon into 7+ touchpoints for your congregation. One upload — and your people hear from you Monday through Saturday. Here's how to get started.
1. Send us your first sermon — Upload an MP3/WAV file, share a YouTube link, or point us to your podcast feed. Your first sermon is completely free.
2. We process it — Within 2 hours, your sermon becomes a Monday email recap, social media content, a small group discussion guide, a 5-day devotional, a reading plan, and more.
3. Review and approve — Every piece of content is built from your own words. You review everything before it reaches your congregation. Nothing goes out without your approval.
Uploading Sermons
We accept audio in MP3, WAV, and MP4 formats. Files up to 500MB are supported. Most churches use the recording they already make for their podcast or livestream.
Direct upload: Use your dashboard to drag-and-drop your audio file after each Sunday service.
YouTube import: Paste a YouTube URL and we'll pull the audio automatically. Works with unlisted videos too.
Podcast feed: Connect your podcast RSS feed for automatic weekly imports. New episodes are processed within 2 hours of publication.
What Your Congregation Receives
Every sermon you upload generates a full week of content — all from your own words, your illustrations, your scripture. Here's what reaches your people each week:
Monday Email Recap — A polished email with major points, key scripture, and a memorable quote. Sent automatically or after your review. Open rates give you real feedback on engagement.
Social Media Content — Quote cards, discussion prompts, scripture graphics — designed and captioned for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. A full week of posts from one sermon.
Small Group Discussion Guide — Formatted discussion questions, scripture passages, leader talking points, and application prompts. Matches exactly what your congregation heard Sunday.
5-Day Devotional — A daily email devotional that deepens Sunday's message. Day 1: the main point. Day 2: deeper scripture. Day 3: application. Day 4: reflection. Day 5: prayer.
Scripture Reading Plan — Daily passages that expand on Sunday's themes. Available on the sermon page and as a printable card.
Family Discussion Card — A one-question card for families. "Tonight at dinner, ask your kids..." Connected to Sunday's sermon theme.
Prayer Guide — Prayer prompts drawn from the sermon's themes. Formatted for print, email, or screens.
Pre-Service Screen Content — Lobby/sanctuary slides showing last week's key verse and discussion question. Auto-rotating display for TVs.
Your Sermon Library
Beyond the weekly content, every sermon also lives in your searchable library at a custom URL (e.g., sermons.yourchurch.com):
Full-text search — Your congregation can search across all sermon transcripts for any word, phrase, topic, or scripture reference.
Series pages — Each sermon series gets its own page with an overview, narrative arc, featured quotes, and browsable sermon list.
Topic browsing — Sermons are tagged by topic so members can explore by theme.
Synced audio player — Listen and read along simultaneously. Click any paragraph to jump to that moment in the recording.
Mobile optimized — Responsive design that works perfectly on phones and tablets. Installable as an app.
Study Notes & Deep Content
Premium plan study notes are generated for each sermon, giving your congregation tools to go deeper:
Discussion questions — 3–5 thoughtful questions drawn from the actual sermon content. Not generic — they reference specific points and illustrations your pastor made.
Word studies — Key Greek and Hebrew terms with transliterations, definitions, and usage across scripture.
Cross-references — Related passages that illuminate the sermon's themes, with explanations of their relevance.
Application prompts — Practical takeaways grounded in the concrete examples the pastor already provided.
Customization
Everything is branded to match your church:
Accent color — Your church's primary color throughout the interface and all generated content.
Logo — Your church logo in navigation, emails, social graphics, and sharing cards.
Tone — You review and customize everything before it reaches your congregation. Add a personal note to emails, adjust discussion questions, highlight what matters most.
Custom domain — Use your own subdomain (sermons.yourchurch.com) or a path on your existing site.
Backlog Processing
Have years of sermon recordings? We can process your entire archive.
Backlog sermons are processed at $12/sermon and delivered in batches within 24–48 hours. Most churches start with their most recent 6–12 months and work backward.
We can import from YouTube channels, podcast archives, Google Drive, Dropbox, or any direct download link. Contact us to discuss your archive size and we'll provide a timeline.
Data & Export
Your content is always yours. You can export everything at any time:
Transcripts — Download as PDF, HTML, or plain text with full formatting and timestamps.
Weekly content — Export email recaps, discussion guides, devotionals, and all generated materials as formatted PDFs.
Audio — Your original audio files are always available for download.
Full export — One-click download of everything — transcripts, PDFs, audio, graphics — organized in one clean package. No lock-in, no surprises.
